How to use it

  1. Pick your currency — it defaults to your language’s region (USD, CNY, SAR) but you can switch to any of the ten listed.
  2. Type the original price and the discount percentage. The sale price and the amount you save update the moment you type — no button to press.
  3. Use Clear to empty both fields and reset the currency to the default.
  4. Copy either result, or download both as a plain-text file.

Example

Input

Original price: 100
Discount: 20%

Result

Sale price: $80.00
You save: $20.00

With a 20% discount on 100, you pay 80 and save 20. The currency and number format follow your page language: 100 in CNY shows ¥80.00, and Arabic shows ٨٠٫٠٠ ر.س.

Rules, limits and known issues

  • Only a percentage discount is supported — enter 20 for “20% off”. Fixed-amount reductions (e.g. “$30 off”) are not handled here.
  • The calculation is one-way: original price + discount % → sale price and savings. Given the sale price, working back to the original price or the exact % is simple algebra but is not provided as a separate input.
  • Tax, shipping, bundle deals and stacked coupons are out of scope — this tool applies a single percentage discount only.
  • The currency list covers ten common codes (USD, EUR, CNY, GBP, JPY, SAR, INR, AUD, CAD, BRL). For a rare currency, pick the nearest one; cross-currency conversion is not part of this tool.
  • The discount must be between 0 and 100; a negative price is rejected. Out-of-range entries show an error instead of a misleading negative price.
  • Decimal places and the currency symbol come from your browser’s number formatting (Intl): JPY shows no decimals, USD/CNY show two, and Arabic uses Arabic-Indic digits — so the same number looks different per language.
  • Nothing is uploaded, stored or written to the URL: no history, no share link carrying your numbers, no remote call.
