How to use it

1. Paste one URL per line — empty lines and lines starting with “#” are skipped. The sitemap is built as you type; there is no Generate button.
2. Duplicates are removed by default after URL normalization. Turn on “Sort by URL” for a stable code-point order, and open “Optional fields” only when every URL should share the same lastmod, changefreq or priority.
3. Check the XML preview, then use “Copy” or “Download sitemap.xml”. If a line cannot be used, its line number and reason appear under Issues; the rest of the list is still exported.

The fourth line repeats the first URL, so it is removed. “&” inside the query string becomes “&” in the XML text. Statistics read “URLs: 3 · Duplicates removed: 1”.

Limits and honest notes

• This tool does not crawl your site: it only formats the list you paste. To discover pages automatically, use a crawler.
• URLs are normalized by the browser: scheme and host are lowercased, default ports removed, IDN converted to punycode, spaces and non-ASCII paths percent-encoded. The <loc> may therefore differ from what you typed.
• The sitemaps.org limit is 50,000 URLs and 50 MB per file; this tool enforces 50,000 URLs, 2,048 characters per URL and 3,000,000 characters of input, and reports an error instead of truncating.
• lastmod is never guessed from the server or the clock: it is written only when you select a date. changefreq and priority are optional and apply to every URL.
• Only the standard <urlset> is generated: no sitemap index, hreflang, image or video extensions. XML tags, dates and numbers are not translated.
• Nothing is uploaded, stored or put in the URL; the preview is capped at 2,000 URLs while copy and download always contain the full list.
