How to use it

  1. Pick your currency — it defaults to your language’s region (USD, CNY, SAR) but you can switch to any of the ten listed.
  2. Type the bill total and how many people are splitting it. Each person’s share, the tip and the total with tip update the moment you type — no button to press.
  3. Add a tip percentage if you like (leave it blank for no tip). Tick “Round up each person’s share” to avoid fractions; the small rounding buffer is shown separately.
  4. Copy any result, or download all of them as a plain-text file. Use Clear to reset everything.

Example

Input

Bill total: 240
People: 4
Tip: 10%

Result

Each person pays: $66.00
Tip: $24.00
Total with tip: $264.00
Rounding buffer: —

With a $240 bill split among 4 people and a 10% tip, the total becomes $264 and each person pays $66. The currency and number format follow your page language: 240 in CNY shows ¥66.00, and Arabic shows ٦٦٫٠٠ ر.س.

Rules, limits and known issues

  • Only an even split is supported — enter the total and the number of people to get each person’s share. Uneven splits (by amount, share or ratio) are a different method and are not offered here to keep the tool simple.
  • The tool takes a single bill total. Tax, discounts and service charges should already be included in that total — they are not separate fields.
  • The tip is a percentage. A fixed-amount tip (e.g. “$30 tip”) is not handled; leave the tip blank to mean no tip.
  • The currency list covers ten common codes (USD, EUR, CNY, GBP, JPY, SAR, INR, AUD, CAD, BRL). For a rare currency, pick the nearest one; cross-currency conversion is not part of this tool.
  • The number of people must be a positive whole number; a negative bill total or a tip outside 0–100 shows an error instead of a misleading result.
  • Decimal places and the currency symbol come from your browser’s number formatting (Intl): JPY shows no decimals, USD/CNY show two, and Arabic uses Arabic-Indic digits — so the same number looks different per language.
  • Nothing is uploaded, stored or written to the URL: no history, no share link carrying your numbers, no remote call.
